Donald Trump has wasted no time in issuing executive orders about the enforcement of immigration laws in the U.S. We do not know the details of how or even if these orders can and will be implemented, nor, most likely, does the Department of Homeland Security. Global Law Advocates will be analyzing announcements from the government closely for the potential effects on our clients and future clients, and will provide updates our newsletter and on our website. We will also be posting links to websites with information from media, government and non-profit sources to keep you informed.
At this point, we can give the following general information to the immigrant community:
To our current clients: We will be analyzing your case in light of new procedures and directives, and will notify you of any changes that affect your case. Please call us if you would like to get more information about your case now.
To those who have consulted with us in the last year: Because we do not yet have definitive information about immigration changes, the advice given at your consult should be the same, unless there have been any significant changes in your life. If you would like to get more information, please contact us to schedule a follow up appointment with Margaret O’Donnell.
To the general immigrant community: We cannot give any advice about your case until you have had a
consultation with the attorney. This is for your protection. We want to make sure we give you accurate, useful, and strategic advice. Call us if you would like to schedule a meeting with Margaret O’Donnell.
We stand with the immigrant community in this difficult time.
