Yesterday, President-Elect Joe Biden announced his plan to introduce a bill for immigration reform on his first day in office. Initial reports of this plan state that Biden hopes to provide a path to citizenship for millions of undocumented people currently living in the U.S. as of January 1, 2021. If passed by Congress, Biden’s immigration plan could benefit many people who do not have legal status in the U.S., including those who have DACA and TPS.
For now, the incoming administration has not announced many specific details, and there is no telling when or if this plan may become a law. Because of this, we are currently unable to answer any questions about the plan or determine eligibility. We will publish updates as more information becomes available, so stay tuned!
